Im asuming that to fix the hard drive it has to be able to unmount KAINARC.ĭoes anyone have any ideas of how I can fix this problem. I have tried other repair/recover programs but get the same message: 'Could not unmount disk KAINARC' So I have opened diskwarrior (unbelievably long time to start up and scan disks) in the hope of fixing the hard drive, but when i try to repair I get the error message 'unable to unmount KAINARC'. Repairing disk failed with error Could not unmount disk So I try to verify and repair the partition KAINARC but get this message:

When i try to verify and repair the partition I get the message:Įrror: The underlying task reported failure on exitġ volume could not be repaired because of an error I go to disk utility and both partitions are visable, KAINARC is mounted but JUNGLEMAC is not. KAINARC now appears on my desktop, but the partition of JUNGLEMAC does not. Step 3: From the Boot Menu, select 'Disk Utility' and go to 'First Aid' to verify and repair the disk or go to 'Erase' if you wish to format the disk. Step 2: Then, choose the 'Recovery Partition' option from the Boot menu.

I may have shut down the drive improperly to cause this situation. Step 1: Reboot your Mac device by holding the 'Option' key. Open the VirtualBox then tap on New at the upper. You should try each, one at a time, then test to see if the problem is fixed before going on to the next.4.
